(1) Notwithstanding anything written in section 4, if the expert services of a person are required for the work of a communication establishment, the manager may appoint such a person on contract as a working journalist for a fixed period of time with the approval of the press registrar.
(2) According to sub-section (1), when appointing a contract, only up to fifteen percent of the total number of working journalists working in the relevant media establishment can be appointed.
(3) According to sub-section (1), the work to be done by the person appointed under the contract, the remuneration to be received, the period of service and other conditions and facilities of service shall be as mentioned in the contract.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (3), the salary, provident fund and other benefits of a working journalist appointed under contract shall not be less than the salary, provident fund and other benefits received by a working journalist working in the same position or level of the communication establishment.
